Nicollette Sheridan’s Desperate Housewives Departure Confirmed

Nicollette Sheridan

Nicolette Sheridan rumored departure of her role Edie in Desperate Houeswives is already done on Sunday night’s episode, the second last of the season.

In the episode, Edie was seen packing her bags and drove her convertible off into the sunset on Sunday night’s episode of Desperate Housewives without a words about if she would ever return.

And we were all thinking that even Eddie were to leave, she do probably leave on the season finale. So what could be a bigger surprise to end the show after Sheridan’s departure?

Desperate Housewives’ creator and executive producer, Marc Cherry reveals that “yes, Edie’s gone and won’t be back for a few years.”

Cherry was then asked if her return in “a few years” could have anything to do with another recent rumor that Desperate Housewives will adopt a “flash-forward” Lost-like narrative device, which could restore Edie’s presence on Wisteria Lane sooner than expected.

“I only address one rumor at a time…We’ll have to wait until next season and see,” Cherry replied.

So what could be a bigger surprise to end the show with Sheridan’s departure an episode before the finale and could the “flash-forward” rumor be true? And even if Edie were to return next season, will she be the same as she was before her departure?

What will Nicollette Sheridan do now that her character, Edie Britt, is no longer welcome on Wisteria Lane?

Now that the show has jumped five years into the future, I think she might return to Wisteria Lane with her son, and maybe even a man. She’ll be a changed woman, but I’m sure not too changed!
