Gossip Girl Racy OMFG Ads (Photos & Videos)

The desperate ad campaign clearly shows that the producers want Gossip Girl’s viewer to know that there will be a whole lot of sex scenes in the coming episodes.
The ads features an intimate scene between Chace Crawford(Nate) and Blake Lively(Serena) and another one between Ed Westwick(Chuck) and Leighton Meester(Blair) in the upcoming episodes did not help enough to catch your attention, CW throw in a bolded OMFG to catch your eye!
Underage teen sex in a TV show which took place in an exclusive Upper East Side prep school. Isn’t that doubling the WOW?!
Producer is clearly trying everything they can to boost poor ratings of the recent episodes.
The network issued the following statement to address possible backlash about the ad:
“We wanted to create a provocative campaign that stands out from the competition and reminds viewers of some of the OMG moments that have made ‘Gossip Girl’ one of the most buzzed about new shows on television. This sexy, sophisticated campaign speaks directly to our adult 18-34 viewers, using expressions that are part of their lexicon.”
Gossip Girl is set to return with the first of the five new episodes to your TV screen on Monday, April 21.

I am shocked at this TV show and the adds for young teenagers. I have teenagers now and I will not allow my children to watch this soft pron. You all should be ashamed of yourselves. Laugh as you will. But ethically and morally this show is wrong for teenagers.
I agree.
I’m seventeen, and I won’t even watch this smut.
It’s best avoided.
So “OMFG” was chosen in the campaign because it is part of the lexicon of 18-34 year old women? I am 19 and neither have I nor anyone my age used anything like “omfg” since the age of 15.
This, in addition to the fact that the show’s stars have been seen swarmed by adoring preteen fans just goes to show who the real target audience is.
And you know, just out of curiosity, I decided to check out an episode of this “wonder” show online today- I couldn’t last more than 5 minutes. The plot and dialogue are HORRIBLE, FLAT, and UTTERLY BORING. This unsophitication is another major pointer to their real target audience- young, impressionable girls who buy in easily to materialistic imbeciles.
[[Just as a point of reference, I personally love Sex and the City. Although it’s got its fair share of fun materialism and fashion, it’s also got depth and excellent writing. So there.]]
