Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie Donated $8 Million to Charity

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have donated more than $8 millions to various charities through their Jolie Pitt foundation in 2006 and these figures does not include many other charitable effort that the couple are involved with in 2007.
According to the newly released federal tax fillings for 2006, Pitt donated a total of $4,402,317 and Jolie with a sum of $4,123,613 behind the scene.
The foundation handed out $2,367,935 of the funds, including $1 million to both Doctors Without Borders (International Division) and to the Global Action for Children.
In addition donating money, the pair have been actively helping out those in need. Brad has been helping to rebuild New Orleans with the Make It Right Foundation which he founded (raised $5 million in 2007) and Angelina travels the world with the UN to advocate for refugees.
While other celebrities are spending their cash on million dollar mansion and anything else self beneficial, Jolie-Pitt are setting the perfect example for Hollywood.
There’s no reason not to love them!

Michelle Trachtenberg Joins Gossip Girls Cast

Michelle Trachtenberg is set to play the role Georgina Sparks in the TV teen drama Gossip Girls.
Sparks will head to Manhattan, after a stint in rehab, and will shake up the life of Blake Lively’s character, Serena van der Woodsen.
Gossip Girls is scheduled to return on Monday, April 21. We can’t wait for it!
The former Buffy the Vampire Slayer star is also appearing in the upcoming comedy Kids in America, but even better, she just recently wrapped up filming Seventeen Again, where she stars with Zac Efron.

Pete Wentz’s Suicide Attempt

Pete Wentz confessed about his suicide attempt resulted by his growing depression with the success of his band Fall Out Boy.
Wentz was joined stars such as Mary J. Blige and Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan as a spokesperson for the Jed Foundation’s Half Of Us campaign which is aimed at cutting student suicide rates.
The trio spilled out on each of their darkest hour in an interview that appear on MTV’s college channel mtvU.
In the interview, Pete admits to being paralyzed by anxiety and depression at the beginning of his career and he felt so lost and alone till a point he attempted suicide.
“I got in my car. I remember I was listening to Jeff Buckley doing Leonard Cohen’s (song) Hallelujah and sat there and took a bunch of (prescription drug) Adavan in a Best Buy (store) parking lot.
“And I called up my manager because I was, at that point, completely out of my head with Adavan. And I was talking to him and I was slurring my words, so he called my mom and my mom called me and she came and got me and we went to the hospital.
“I came home and we realised that we needed to do more than just keep (my) head above water. It’s not really about keeping your head above water, it’s about feeling all right and feeling safe in your own skin. It’s not about keeping your head above water and barely keep going.”
Life may be a challenge but suicide is never the answer!

Simon Cowell Help Struggling Family Pay Off Their Mortgage

Simon Cowell may seems to be known for his notorious insults and sarcasm but the American Idol judge does have a kind inner heart.
Cowell who was a guest on Oprah’s talk show, surprised a family struggling to take care of their cancer stricken 3-year-old daughter by paying off their mortgage.
The couple, Randy and Amy Stoen, were struggling daily in order to travel more than 100 miles from their home each day so their daughter could receive treatment. The young girl, Madeline, is struggling with a life-threatening cancer.
Cowell decided to help the couple pay off their $162,000 mortgage to ease their burden.
The wicked judge then said, “I never knew that doing good could feel so good.”
Will you still hate him now?

Brooke Hogan Still Hurt by Her Father’s Affair

Brooke Hogan is still hurt by her father Hulk Hogan’s affair with her friend which resulted the divorce of her mother Linda from Hulk. Thankfully, she made her feelings available publicly for us!
The “wanna-be” singer just posted the following on her MySpace blog.
“Life…
well,
I realized your mother is your mother. Your father is your father. Nothing is thicker than blood. No matter how angry, sad or depressed you are, your family will always love you no matter what. We are all human. Yes, I’m still hurting very deeply inside, but I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I’m not saying I will get over this in a week, month, year or ten years. I dont know when It will be. But you must always respect your father and your mother. Always love them. My parents made me and my brother from pure love…thats all I need to know to live. Nothing will ever change how much I love my family. I just realized the longer you cease to forgive, the more you miss them, and the more it hurts you inside. I have a wonderful, angel of a brother…and I have two amazing parents. I mean AMAZING. I know mistakes have been made. And I have no doubt there is major guilt that carries with that… But no mistake ever made in a persons life changes real love. We may not be a perfect family, we may not be living in a house together, but I’m positive we will all love eachother till death. Thats all that matters to me. You can have money, fame, cars, clothes, but youre naked without the people that love you. I don’t know where this blog will go next.
