Mayer To Be Godfather To Wentz&Simpson Baby

Reports claim that Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson want John Mayer to be the godfather to their first child.

Mayer and Wentz are close friends and get along very well. Only obstacle may be Simpson’s sister Jessica and ‘Beat It’ singer’s former relationship.

A source told The Sun, “They are not sure how Jessica would feel about her ex having such a strong link to her new niece.”

The insider added, “John gets a bad rap and is always portrayed as a bad boy but he’s got a heart of gold. Pete and Ashlee know that and they think he would make a great godparent.”

The ‘Little Miss Obsessive’ singer is expecting her first baby in October.

Pete Wentz Slips Wedding Details to Ryan Seacrest

Pete Wentz called in to Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radio show on Tuesday morning and revealed some details of his wedding with Ashlee Simpson.

Pete started off by telling Ryan that he and Ashlee are still in Los Angeles, rather than going for a romantic honeymoon. “We are in the basement on our honeymoon. With blow-up palm trees.”

Further on, he mentioned that Ashlee is already a Wentz legally but she will be keeping Simpson for her profession and they did sign a pre-nup.

Ashlee & Pete Confirms Pregnancy on Wedding

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are married on Saturday night and the newlyweds confirmed to guests at their wedding that Ashlee is indeed pregnant and expecting for a child.

The Alice in Wonderland themed wedding was held in the backyard of Joe and Tina Simpson’s Encino estate. Approximately 150 guests attended the couple’s wedding, including Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, “Scrubs” actor Donald Faison and girlfriend Cacee Cobb.

Meanwhile Jessica Simpson who was accompanied by ex-boy Tony Romo, was Ashlee’s maid of honor while Pete’s English bulldog, Hemingway, served as the ring-bearer.

Ashlee wore an ivory lace Monique Lhuillier dress added with a diamond necklace and matching earrings, while Pete wore a Dior Homme tuxedo.

After escorting his youngest daughter down the aisle, the site reported that Joe Simpson told the guests funny and touching stories about Ashlee before beginning the wedding, frequently choking up during the ceremony. “They were all crying,” the source said, “it was very moving.”

Big sister Jessica was reportedly a bit glum during the wedding, but did give an “emotional, off-the-cuff” toast at one point, according to E!, saying that Pete and Ashlee’s relationship, “had inspired [her] to love again.” Wentz’s brother also gave a toast.

People magazine reportedly fork out 7 figures for Ashlee and Pete’s exclusive wedding photos that are featured on the magazine’s latest issue. In addition to that, photograph of Jessica and Tony dancing closely together were featured on the front page of the same issue to support the magazine’s claims that the pair are in fact still dating.

Could that be part of the deal?

Ashlee Simpson & Pete Wentz Will Marry This Weekend

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz will have their wedding this coming Saturday, May 17th, at a secret location.

A close source to the couple told US magazine that “Proper invites have not been sent out but instead guests have been given a save the date notice.”

Meanwhile, the rehearsal dinner which is for family and close friends only will take place on Friday, at another unknown location.

The source added that “all guests will be transported in shuttles to the wedding location.”

Simpson’s rep says “This is a private matter. There is nothing to confirm.”

That’s alot sooner than we’ve all expected to be. They probably want to do it before the baby bump expands the bridal gown.

Ashlee Simpson Is Most Probably Pregnant

A source close to Ashlee Simpson’s family reveals that the singer is indeed pregnant and she’s planning to get married next month at a private residence in Southern California.

In addition to that confirmation from the source, Ashlee and soon-to-be husband Pete Wentz’s responses to the media for the past week has been rather questionable.

On Monday Pete wrote to MTV News to address on the rumors.

“There is a witch hunt for people to be pregnant whenever they get engaged in Hollywood. This is all news to me. I can’t wait for the story about how I’m really in a gay relationship and this is all just a cover … I mean really, this is crazy … I mean we’re engaged, that’s true, and happy about it.”

On Tuesday, things became a little fishy when Ashlee dodged the pregnancy question at MTV.

Ashlee was taping an episode of TRL in New York and that was when she was prompted with the question on the rumors.

The singer responded the interviewer with a questionable line - “Some things you want to keep personal.”

She added, ” I just think it’s an inappropriate question to ask any woman. For me, that’s something that I didn’t ever want to respond to, because I think it’s an inappropriate question.”

Simpson, however, did not put the rumors to rest. “Some things, you want to keep personal, and I think that when people deny [pregnancy reports], it’s probably because it’s something they want to keep personal.”

From the trend above, Pete and Ashlee seems to be dodging the question rather than denying the possibility!

Ashlee Simpson Engaged With Pete Wentz

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are getting married!

The Fall Out Boy bassist popped the question when the couple went away to Colorado where Pete’s brother had an art exhibit.

“He got down on one knee and she said yes,” a family friend tells In Touch exclusively.

“She has an amazing ring, and they are so in love,” the friend tells the mag.

Ashlee and Pete released the following statement to confirm the engagement.

“We know there has been a lot of speculation recently about Pete and I and we wanted our fans to be the first to know, because you guys are the best. Yes, we are thrilled to share that we are happily engaged. Thank you for all of your support and well wishes — it means the world to us. We consider this to be a very private matter, and we wanted to be the first to tell you and to hear it straight from us.”

Ashlee’s parents, Joe and Tina, not only approve but are said to be thrilled!

Joe said he’s “totally happy” and “so excited to have Pete as part of (our) family.”

“We are blessed,” he says.

He also confirms that Wentz asked his permission to propose to Ashlee.

“[Pete] did ask me,” says Joe. “I told him that I would be honored to have him as part of my family.”

Meanwhile, Ashlee’s older sibling Jessica Simpson reveals that Ashlee is overjoyed.

“My sister is overflowing with joy.” She added “Pete is an incredible soul. They naturally bring out the best in each other. I couldn’t be happier.”

Congratulation to Pete and Ashlee.

Pete Wentz’s Suicide Attempt

Pete Wentz confessed about his suicide attempt resulted by his growing depression with the success of his band Fall Out Boy.

Wentz was joined stars such as Mary J. Blige and Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan as a spokesperson for the Jed Foundation’s Half Of Us campaign which is aimed at cutting student suicide rates.

The trio spilled out on each of their darkest hour in an interview that appear on MTV’s college channel mtvU.

In the interview, Pete admits to being paralyzed by anxiety and depression at the beginning of his career and he felt so lost and alone till a point he attempted suicide.

“I got in my car. I remember I was listening to Jeff Buckley doing Leonard Cohen’s (song) Hallelujah and sat there and took a bunch of (prescription drug) Adavan in a Best Buy (store) parking lot.

“And I called up my manager because I was, at that point, completely out of my head with Adavan. And I was talking to him and I was slurring my words, so he called my mom and my mom called me and she came and got me and we went to the hospital.

“I came home and we realised that we needed to do more than just keep (my) head above water. It’s not really about keeping your head above water, it’s about feeling all right and feeling safe in your own skin. It’s not about keeping your head above water and barely keep going.”

Life may be a challenge but suicide is never the answer!
