George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon Donates $500,000

United Nation’s World Food Program recently welcomed a $500,000 donation from Not On Our Watch, a humanitarian and advocacy organization co-founded by actors George Clooney, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt, Don Cheadle, producer Jerry Weintraub and civil rights lawyer David Pressman.
The generous donation will be used to prevent hunger in the Sudan’s troubled Darfur region.
“World Food Program planes and helicopters deliver humanitarian workers and urgent supplies to nearly every aid organization working in Darfur,” said George Clooney, a co-founder of Not On Our Watch. “This is a critical time for the program. Without immediate additional funding, humanitarian aid in the region will be crippled. We are proud to help ensure the survival of this lifesaving program and strongly encourage others to do the same. Protection of these victims should not fall solely in the hands of charitable organizations. Governments have a responsibility to help those who cannot defend themselves.”
George Clooney has become a leading celebrity advocate for action against the genocide in the Sudan after spending 5 days hearing personal stories of some of the victims of the fighting in the region with his journalist father Nick in 2006.
George Clooney To Solve Writers Strike

George Clooney is volunteering to set up a “mediation panel” to try to put an end to the months long Writers Guild of American strike. The panel will include himself and with plans to ask Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks and John Wells (the executive producer of ER, a ex-WGA president)
It’s Clooney’s idea that everybody would be locked in the room together and not leave until the deal is done.
Lets all pray and hope that this effort will put an end to the months long writers strike that have been affecting many people related to the entertainment industry.

George Clooney Defends Britney

George Clooney sympathizes with Britney Spears in her troubles with paparazzi following her. (For all the attention she created)
“You look at the footage of Britney running the red light – there’s eight guys with cameras at night in the middle of the street. There are no rules now,” he tells Entertainment Tonight in an interview aired on Tuesday. “It’s getting to a point where people that are not involved are getting hurt.”
“What they’re doing is illegal, it’s high speed chases and they’re competing with each other,” he says. “They’re not trying to catch me doing something stupid; they’re trying to create me doing something stupid. You don’t get to break all these laws and then say, ‘I’m just doing my job.’ The guys that commit all these crimes are rewarded for it. It creates bounty hunters in a way.”
Clooney’s advice for the paparazzi: “Take your pictures but don’t go 60 mph down a one-way street. Don’t cause injury to people who aren’t involved.”
Clooney, 46, who was involved in a near-collision with paparazzi Nov. 16 while riding on his motorcycle in the Hollywood Hills, fears for his neighbors.
Is there something going on between them now? I cant imagine Britney dating George Clooney. No more K-Fed’s y’all type? Gosh!
