The Spice Girls performed the first concert of their world reunion tour at GM Place in Vancouver, B.C. on Sunday night.

Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Melanie Chisholm, Melanie Brown and Emma Bunton performed 22 songs, which included tracks from their solo careers as well as some of the tunes which made them famous.

They opened with their signature song, “Spice Up Your Life,” followed by “Stop” and “Say You’ll Be There.”

David Beckham were present that night to support his wife and the girls.

Some early reviews says, Spice Girl’s world reunion tour that kicked off in Vancouver was worth the wait.

“Just as it was 10 years ago, the show wasn’t about great singing or dancing,” wrote the reviewer. “But it was about great entertainment. And the girls delivered the spice.”

Not everyone were convinced though. Most negative critics come from the Spice Girls’ origin, United Kingdom.

London’s free daily the Metro headlined its review: “Spice Girls: Embarrassing and Lackluster,” although it conceded that more than 15,000 fans attending the sold-out gig seemed to enjoy the night nonetheless.

“Hi y’all!
30 Nov 2007

Hi yall,

Im sorry Im only just sending you this new blog, but you wont believe how busy weve been. Were rehearsing our bottoms off every day for the show. Its been so exciting being back on stage with the girls and performing all our classics!

At this very moment Im practicing the routines in my heels and Ive got the most painful blisters. But youre all worth it! : )

Our only day off so far was Thanksgiving, and we spent a beautiful day at Victorias house with lots of delicious food and wine and celebrated with our friends and families.

Beau is being the best little boy in the world, and weve got him some little ear protectors so he can watch rehearsals. As soon as he heard Wannabe he started dancing by kicking his little legs around! He is just so gorgeous.

I really cant wait for you guys to see the show I hope you enjoy it. Not long to go now

See you soon.
Lots of love
Emma xx”

It appears to me that Kevin Federline have just recruited Emma into his y’all club.

Spice Girls Canceling South American Was Hoax

Posted on November 26, 2007 1:21pm · Filed under: Music News

Spice Girls Mail Hoax

The email copy that we posted yesterday about Spice Girls canceling their South American tour turn to be a hoax. Someone sent out an email to everyone that signed up for tickets to their Buenos Aires concert and claimed that the date was cancelled, but it wasn’t them. Here is what they said on the Spice Girls official website.

The Spice Girls would like to let fans know that they have not cancelled their concert in Buenos Aires.

A fake story and e-mail appeared on several websites over the weekend, claiming that the girls had cancelled the show due to demand in the UK and the US. The email also stated there would be a competition for South American fans to travel to the UK to watch a concert.

Th email and the story are 100% unofficial and have nothing to do with the Spice Girls. The Buenos Aires concert has been postponed due to the additional dates that have been added in Europe & the US.

South American Spice Girls’ fans, your hope is still on.

Spice Girls Canceled South America Concert

Spice Girls Canceled South America Concert

The Spice Girls have canceled their only announced concert in South America. Its slowly wrapping up.

Here is the email transcript of what they sent to their fans that signed up for tickets to their Buenos Aires show:

“Hi there!

First of all, we would like to thank all our fans who bought our Greatest Hist Album, it’s doing great!

As you know, the demand for our concert tickets in the USA and the UK has been really overwhelming. So, in order to meet that demand, it’s not possible for us to keep extending the tour because of our solo projects and family obligations. That means we are unable to hold a concert in Buenos Aires, Argentina. We’re incredibly sorry for the delay in making this annoucement, but we have been really trying to fit this date in our schedule.

To make this up for you all, we’ll be having some great competitions for our South American fans. The lucky winners will attend one of our London shows (flight and accomodation included!) and will receive an All Access Pass! Isn’t that MAJOR?

Keep checking thespicegirls.com for news on rehearsals and exclusive contents!

Best Wishes

Emma, Geri, Mel B, Melanie C, and Victoria

Spice Girls Comeback Tour Isnt Doing Too Well

Posted on November 24, 2007 11:56am · Filed under: Music News

Spice Girls

Spice Girls comeback tour is not doing too well in UK. The first London date (December 16) of their world tour, sold out in just 38 seconds and 16 further dates at the 23,000 capacity O2 Arena, as well as two at Manchester’s MEN Arena, have also sold out.

If thats the case, why arent they doing well? Apparently, not all of those tickets were purchased by the girl’s fans. Internet touts believed to have snapped up thousands of the tickets, to resell them but seem to have overestimated the demand to see the gigs.

Now tickets for the 19 UK dates, with cost £85 each, are being sold desperately for less than £25.

Their comeback single Headlines stumbled to number 10 in the UK’s midweek charts.

Despite all the proceeds going to Children in Need, the track has sold fewer than 6000 copies.

Spice Girl’s “soldout” gigs are readily available online and most are sold desperately below their face value.

Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell were both caught wearing the same dresses previously worn by Britney Spears on the red carpet at the Victoria’s Secret fashion last Thursday.
