Lavigne Blonde Backup Dancers Ban

Avril Lavigne has claimed that she only hires brunette backup dancers, because she wants to be the only blonde on the stage.
The pop-star told Popcrunch, “Everyone was brown, except one of my favorite girls was blonde so we were like,’ You have to have brown hair’. It wouldn’t liik right.”
Avril added, “I wanted my girls to look really punk rock with like black hair and that’s pretty standard for everyone, like Madonna and Mariah Carey. If they’re blonde you’re not going to see another blonde on the stage.”

Hilary Duff Allure Magazine May 2008

Hilary Duff is featured on the cover of Allure magazine’s upcoming May 2008 issue.
Here is an excerpt from Allure’s attempt to dig into the history of Duff’s relationship back to 7-years ago. The interview also include Hilary’s comments about other stars but just a little something about her.
On Lindsay Lohan: “Supposedly, I stole Lindsay Lohan’s boyfriend [Aaron Carter.] We were, like, 13! And I’ve never stolen anyone’s boyfriend! I don’t know how you do that! . . . She was talking about it and I wasn’t. It made us both look bad and put up a big weirdness. Really she was just a girl my age. We are fine now, by the way.”
On being with 24-year-old Joel Madden when she was 15: “He was never nervous, like, ‘I could get arrested,’” she says. But does admit, “It looked bad.”
On Avril Lavigne: “I said something about how she didn’t like her fans dressing like her, and how she should appreciate that because it’s a compliment. She called me a goody-goody [Lavigne called Duff a ‘mommy’s girl’ in Newsweek] Everyone is trying to prove who they are, and their position. So, I’m ‘the good girl.’ She’s ‘the bad girl’ or ‘the party girl.’ Sarah Jessica Parker doesn’t take her clothes off, but she’s not a ‘good girl.’ [Adult actors] don’t get tagged like we do.”
On Miley Cyrus: “We don’t have each other’s phone numbers. But when she meets me, she’s excited. It’s cute – I see a lot of myself in her.”
On Sarah Jessica Parker: “Sarah Jessica Parker doesn’t take her clothes off, but she’s not a ‘good girl.’ [Adult actors] don’t get tagged like we do.”
On being normal: “I’m not a perfect, prude girl. I like to do normal things that 20 year-olds do.”
Duff want us to know that she’s growing up regardless of what we think of her.
On pleasing her younger fans: “I don’t want to restrict myself from doing things that stimulate me just to make them happy . . . if they continue liking me, that’s cool, but I don’t want to cater to them. I’m not 13, 14, or 15 anymore.
Hilary Duff’s upcoming movie War, Inc. known for her wild scorpion scene will definitely change the fans’ impression of her.
The May 2008 issue of Allure magazine will hit your local newsstand on tomorrow, April 22.

Avril Lavigne Is Paris Hilton’s New Partymate?

SHOCKING!! Paris Hilton was seen getting into Avril Lavigne’s car in Hollywood on Thursday night! The pair and Avril’s friends were partying all night together.
Avril once said, “I think it’s funny that there are people who are famous who haven’t done anything. They’re just famous for being at Hollywood clubs or for dating people.” and even admitted that she hates people like Paris,Britney and Lindsay.
Now that Britney is a major wreck and Lindsay has been playing clean since her recent DUI conviction, the jobless heiress, Paris manage to find Avril as her latest partymate.
Smell trouble anyone? Hope Avril did learn from her predecessor.

Avril Lavigne Announced North American Tour

Avril Lavigne is going on tour across the U.S. and Canada! She announced the tour on Tuesday at a press conference/mini-concert in Whiskey, Los Angeles.
Her tour will kick off in Victoria next Spring and only reaches Los Angeles in May.
