Denise Richards Mother Passed Away

Mother to the Wild Things fame, Denise Richards died this week after a long battle with kidney cancer.

Rep for Denise, confirmed the sad news to OK! magazine. Denise along with her kids, and ex-husband, Charlie Sheen, was joined by her father, Irv, and other family members during their two-week bedside vigil at the Long Beach, Calif., hospital where Joni lived out her final days.

It must have been tough for Denise, as she have been involved in a custody battle with ex-husband Charlie Sheen for their two kids, ever since they divorced last year.

Hope Denise get better soon. RIP.

Evel Knievel Died on Friday

Daredevil Robert Craig “Evel” Knievel, Jr. best known as Evel Knievel died on Friday. Knievel’s granddaughter, Krysten Knievel confirms the death of the daredevil who passed away at the age of 69.

Evel died just 2 days after settling lawsuit with Kanye West.

Knievel sued West and his record company last year, after Kanye appeared in a music video for his song “Touch the Sky” dressed as “Evel Kanyevel” and jumped over a canyon on a motorcycle. West and his lawyers argued it was satire; Knievel called it “vulgar and offensive.”

On Tuesday, Knievel told the AP, “We settled the lawsuit amicably. I was very satisfied and so was he,” adding that the rapper was “a wonderful guy and quite a gentleman.”

He had reportedly been in failing health for years, suffering from diabetes and a condition that caused scarring in his lungs.

Evel’s rep tells TMZ, “The world has lost a one of a kind human being. Someone like this we’ll never never see again.”

His rep said he had just spoken to Evel on Thursday, and Evel wasn’t feeling well.

Longtime friend Billy Rundle reported that Knievel had trouble breathing while at his residence in Clearwater, but died before the ambulance could reach the hospital. “It’s been coming for years, but you just don’t expect it. Superman just doesn’t die, right?” was Rundle’s reaction.

Donda West’s Last Voicemail

Donda West’s hairdresser, Charlay Thomas, decide to cash in on her dead friend by making public a voice mail message Kanye West’s mom left her the day before she died.

Donda’s last message said, “How are you? It’s Miss West. How’s everything going…I hope you get this message soon because it’s possible I need something from you, like, immediately! I am going to, um, go have my procedure done tomorrow and I’m getting every single thing from my neck to my knees! So, anyway, call me. I’ll tell you about that. I just decided at the last minute that it would be nice if my hair were corn-rowed [before the surgery].”

Thomas spoke to Inside Edition in an exclusive interview. The hairdresser says: “If I had only picked up the phone.”

Charlay claims that she didn’t get the message until the next day, when Donda was already in operation. She mentioned that West had been considering having surgery since June and that she assisted West in her search for a doctor.

“I only visited one, but I know she shopped around,” says Charlay.

Thomas also tells Inside Edition that Kanye did not want his mother to have the surgery.

“She [Donda] said that Kanye did not want her to get it done. I think that Kanye was aware [of the surgery], but again like none of us, he did not know who this man is, who he was.”

Hawthorne Heights Guitarist Dies Aboard Band’s Tour Bus

Casey Calvert, bassist for the band Hawthorne Heights, was found dead last Friday on the band’s tour bus. There has yet to be any ruling on the cause of death, though it has been reported that Calvert’s asthma played a role.

The band posted the following message on their website the day after.

“Today is probably the worst day ever. Its with our deepest regrets that we have to write this. Casey Calvert passed away in his sleep last night. We found out this afternoon before sound-check. We’ve spent the entire day trying to come to grips with this and figure out as much as possible. At this time we’re not sure what exactly happened. Just last night he was joking around with everyone before he went to bed. We can say with absolute certainty that he was not doing anything illegal. Please, out of respect to Casey and his family, don’t contribute or succumb to any gossip you may hear. We don’t want his memory to be tainted in the least. Casey was our best friend. He was quirky and awesome and there will truly be no others like him! His loss is unexplainable. As soon as we know more we will let you know.

NFL Star Taylor Dies After Gunshot

Washington Redskins safety, Sean Taylor was shot in his Miami home at approximately 1:45 A.M. Monday morning and was airlifted to a local hospital where he was in a critical condition.

The Pro Bowl safety had taken a bullet in his upper leg, reports the AP, damaging an artery, causing serious blood loss and loss of consciousness. According to his former lawyer, Richard Sharpstein, Taylor seemed to show signs of recovery when he squeezed a nurse’s hand late Monday night, but never regained consciousness thereafter.

The Miami Herald is reporting paramedics found Taylor with a gunshot wound to the groin. ABC-TV 10 in Miami says a family friend told them that Taylor was shot twice.

Taylor was later pronounced dead at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, this morning, a day after he was shot by an intruder at his home in Palmetto Bay.

Taylor’s girlfriend, Jackie Garcia, who was in the bedroom with Taylor when he was shot, could not be reached for comment.

Taylor’s father, Pedro Taylor, and his family issued a statement honoring Sean and saying funeral arrangements would be announced soon.

“It is with deep regret that a young man had to come to his end so soon,” Pedro Taylor’s statement said. “Many of his fans loved him because of the way he played football. Many of his opponents feared him, the way he approached the game. Others misunderstood him, many appreciated him and his family loved him. I can only hope and pray that Sean’s life was not in vain, that it might touch others in a special way.”

The couple had their first baby, who is is also named Jackie, last year. The baby slept in a crib in the bedroom with her parents and did not wake up during the shooting.

Richard Sharpstein, Taylor’s attorney, called his death “a tragic, horrible, unnecessary death — another example of the incessant violence in this city and this country.”

“It’s still early in the investigation and homicide detectives are still working this case,” Miami-Dade police spokesman Robert Williams said Tuesday. “They’re seeking anyone that will be able to help us, anyone that might have seen or heard anything is urged to call Miami-Dade CrimeStoppers at 305-471-TIPS.”

The gunman remained on the loose.

Donda West’s Funeral

Donda West’s was buried in Oklahoma City on Tuesday. Donda West, mother to Kanye West whom passed away two weeks ago.

The ceremony was held at the True Vine Ministry church. According to AccessHollywood, singers like Beyonce and Jay-Z attended the services, and John Legend and Anita Baker performed.

A white hearse, carrying the body of Donda West arrived, and her champagne-colored coffin was carried inside.

Kanye reportedly broke down inside the church while talking about his mother, saying he wanted her to not “rest in peace, but rest in paradise.”

After the service, two horse drawn carriages transported her body to the cemetery.

Its good to see Kanye smiling again and obviously, Dr Jan Adams did not attend it.

Kanye’s Mom Remembered

Hundreds gathered Friday at Chicago State University to pay their respects to the hip-hop star’s late mother, Donda West, who died Saturday night of complications resulting from a plastic surgery procedure performed the day before.

“This is an absolutely impossible assignment, both emotionally and practically,” said current English and Communications Department chair Dr. Brenda Eatman Aghahowa, who’s also an ordained minister, in addressing the overflow crowd in the campus auditorium.

West is scheduled to be buried Tuesday in her hometown of Oklahoma City. Kanye, who is reportedly devastated over his mom’s untimely passing, canceled his appearance Thursday at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in L.A.

Martha Stewart’s Mother Dies

Martha Stewart’s mother, Martha Kostyra, who was known as Big Martha has died at age 93.

Kostyra, who died on Friday, often appeared with her daughter on television offering expert cooking instruction. Stewart called her “my favorite guest” and said she led an “amazing life.”

“I am very sad to tell you that my mom passed away,” Martha Stewart, 66, wrote on her blog Saturday and posted video clips of them together.
