Shrek Coming To Broadway

The world’s most beloved green ogre, Shrek is coming to Broadway!

Jason Moore will be directing the production, while book and lyrics will be done by David Lindsay-Abaire and music by Jeanine Tesori.

Moore revealed that, “It’s the plot of the first `Shrek’ movie.”

“But because we are going deeper into the emotional lives and back stories of the characters, we reveal things about them that none of the movies revealed.”

The show will play an out-of-town tryout at Seattle’s Fifth Avenue Theatre on August 14 through September 21 and open in Broadway sometime in November.

Everything is going musical!
