Akon Charged For Tossing Kid Off Stage

Akon is charged for throwing a kid off stage when he was performing at a concert. According to police Chief Donald F. Williams, Akon is charged with misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a minor and second-degree harassment for that incident.

The incident happened when he was performing at the WSPK’s KFEST concert in Fishkill, New York and someone in the crowd allegedly threw an object at the singer on stage. Akon asked the crowd to identify the culprit and a security guard immediately took the 15-year-old out from the crowd and sent him upfront. Akon then lifted the kid onto the stage and thats where Akon hoisted him onto his shoulders and flung him into the crowd.

The kid landed on another teen who told the local paper she was later diagnosed with a concussion.

Akon has claimed that the incident was staged and that he in fact used the act to set up for the next record. He is probably making one more of those “Sorry, Blame It on Me” song.

The singer who was previously convicted for armed robbery and drug distribution charges may have to spend time in jail again.

He is scheduled to appear at the Town of Fishkill Court at 9am, Monday for arraignment on the two charges.
